Why this # is more important than your Social Security Number and Credit Score!

Your cell phone number is becoming the most important number in modern living. 

Even more important than your Social Security Number and possibly your Credit Score. The reason for this is simple. We now use our mobile phones for everything. Banking, Shopping, Medical, Social Media the list can go on. 

 As most users who have ever used any app that required your physical location. For example; using  Google Maps, Uber, Lyft or file an insurance claim using the insurance company app. We see more applications being developed that use your actual physical location to work. Sure they offer more value like coupons and increased accuracy to verify your location since it's easier than trying to explain verbally where you are.  

Imagine your identity is stolen; you call the bank to report the theft. However, you find out the thief had already called the bank and was successful in proving who he was since they had your PIN number and other personal information. Normally in these cases, the result is the victim losing a lot of money.

But not this time! Thanks to something called Two-Form Authentication (2FA) Basically an extra layer of security. Access is only granted with 1. Username/Password and 2. Something they have, like a physical phone or RSA™Token. 

But even this system would only work if the bank enforced a policy that required users to call from a specific phone. What happens when you call the bank from a different line? or lose or have your phone stolen?

Future: Iris and Facial Recognition. 

Business's and consumers have a raising concern to verify the identity of their customers. 

As seen in the upcoming flagships from Samsung and Apple, Eye iris scanning is already on board and will be implemented soon.
